You could argue that, technically, Salley got offered the first rose—but she turned it down. The real first impression rose went to Teddi Wright, the virgin from California, who also was the first contestant to kiss Clayton. “There’s a clear connection,” Clayton told her. “She’s got me feeling some type of way,” he later said during his one-on-one interview with producers.
