It unfortunately seemed to be a foregone conclusion for newlyweds Glenda and Lumumba. Their last-place finish in the last leg put them 45 minutes behind the rest. They remained optimistic they could catch up, until an accident put them out of commission for some time. From there, they couldn’t make up enough ground, making him hit a low moment amongst the highs of the Panorama pit stop.

After a couple of bum weeks, Michael and Marcus Craig’s navigation skills won the day, bringing them all the way to the top for their second first-place finish. Twins Emily Bushnell and Molly Sinert were able to continue pushing through their injury to also bounce back to second place. And Derek Xiao and Claire Rehfuss’ choice to take a risk by changing Detours paid off, bringing them all the way up to third.
