And boy, did Season 2 live up to the hype. The most recent season of Love Is Blind—hosted by reality TV power-couple Nick Lachey and Vanessa Lachey—saw one couple barely make it to the altar. (As in, they actually didn’t.) Warning: Season 2 spoilers ahead! We’re talking, of course, about Kyle Abrams and Shaina Hurley, whose star-crossed union felt eerily similar to Season 1’s Jessica Batten/Mark Cuevas/Matt Barnett love triangle. (Finally—someone said it!) If you’re up-to-date on the Love Is Blind Season 2 finale—and also anxiously awaiting the Season 2 reunion episode, which drops Friday, March 4 on Netflix—then you already know that post-Pods, Shaina left Kyle alone in Mexico. They later appeared onscreen together to more “officially” break up, with Shaina citing their religious differences (she’s Christian and Kyle is an atheist) as their downfall. (But let’s not forget that she initially accepted Kyle’s engagement, then almost immediately after, met with Shayne Jansen in the Pods to profess the strength of their connection just minutes before Shayne proposed to NatalieLee—weird!) Ultimately, Kyle and Shaina stopped filming long before the Season 2 finale and never even made it to the wedding episode. To this day, Kyle maintains, the once-engaged couple doesn’t speak. “We don’t really talk. We don’t communicate,” he told Us Weekly in February 2022. “There’s nothing left. I mean, we’re not friends or anything… That ship has sailed.” Kyle and Shaina’s all-too-familiar plot line may have dominated the first few episodes of the series, but there was plenty more drama that went down after the couple called it quits—on both each other and on filming. And now, fans of the unconventional dating series are eagerly awaiting the extra drama that may occur once Kyle and Shaina are back in the same room again at the Season 2 reunion. But that’s not all fans are looking forward to. With the strange way Deepti Vempati and Abhishek “Shake” Chatterjee’s relationship broke off, fans are undoubtedly looking forward to each of their explanations as well as finding out whether Sal Perez and Mallory Zapata and Natalie and Shayne were able to make it work off-screen. Keep reading to find out which Love Is Blind Season 2 couples stayed together, which ones tied the knot, and which ones have broken up.
Does Shayne marry Natalie on Love Is Blind Season 2?
Despite the initial love triangle of Shayne/Natalie/Shaina (and also Kyle, technically?), Shayne ultimately proposed to Natalie. Of course, it felt like Shaina gave it her best shot to get Shayne back; not only did she meet with him after getting engaged to Kyle, but she also questioned Shayne’s connection with Natalie when she finally got the chance to meet him in person. A post shared by Love Is Blind (@loveisblindnetflix) Anyway, despite a few bumps in the beginning of their relaysh, Shayne and Natalie were able to put the Shaina drama behind them and moved forward with their relationship. They vacationed in Mexico together, moved in together, and almost all the while, seemed like a great fit. Ultimately, however, the couple ran into a rocky situation that occurred off-screen not long before their nuptials. While both the bride- and groom-to-be confessed on camera that they weren’t sure of the status of their relationship despite still loving the other, the couple ultimately did not tie the knot during the wedding episode. It was Natalie who said “no” at the altar, citing their off-screen fight as the reason for her doubt. While Shayne said that the fight was a misstep and he still hoped to marry Natalie come decision day, Natalie alleged that Shayne said he hated her during the fight, which made her second-guess the marriage.
Do Sal and Mallory get married on Love Is Blind Season 2?
Sal and Mallory also had a strange start to their relationship, as Mallory first had to turn down Jarrette Jones’ potential proposal before saying “yes” to Sal. And while she ultimately chose Sal, their relationship felt faulty from the second they laid eyes on each other, post-Pods. As soon as Mallory met Jarrette IRL, she low-key seemed to have regrets—if not doubts—about choosing Sal. And Sal certainly felt that vibe, too. Regardless of the Jarrette drama, Sal and Mallory made it to the wedding episode and though they had a bit of rocky relationship, many fans felt like they were both going to say “yes” at the altar. But that’s not the way it went down. Sal said “I don’t” first and TBH, Mallory didn’t seem all that surprised. In fact, both parties seemed to be waiting until the last minute to make a decision with Sal even telling his family that he wouldn’t know his answer until he physically saw Mallory walk down the aisle. “I was a roller-coaster of emotions [at the wedding],” Sal told Us Weekly. “I was just feeling everything, and I really was trying to wrap my head around everything that we had been through together. I was really just kind of summarizing it in my head and I knew that at that moment of my wedding, I just wanted to make that choice with her. I wanted to see how I felt in that moment with her. It was a crazy day.” Ultimately, Mallory seemed super understanding of Sal’s decision and while the couple decided to not get married that day, they agreed to move their relationship forward by going on a date.
Do Iyanna and Jarrette get married on Love Is Blind Season 2?
Once Iyanna McNeely and Jarrette left the Pods, their relationship was basically smooth sailing. But fans won’t soon forget their love story took off with a tumultuous start. After all, Jarrette first asked Mallory what she would say if he were to propose to her. After Mallory turned Jarrette down, saying she thought she had a stronger connection with someone else in the group—Sal, obvs—Jarrette then went back and forth about proposing to Iyanna. Ultimately, he proposed to Iyanna (most likely a day after talking to Mallory, though the timeline of the Pods remains mostly unclear) and though she seemed reticent at first, she accepted. Only a few times throughout the rest of the episodes did Iyanna express concern about Jarrette’s past with Mallory. Other than that, the couple seemed to move forward in their relationship with little-to-no obstacles. By the time the wedding episode rolled around, fans were almost certain that both Jarrette and Iyanna would say “yes” to a lifetime with one another. And they did! Unlike most of the other couples from Season 2, Jarrette and Iyanna actually got to kiss at the altar and have a real wedding reception for their guests.
Do Deepti and Shake get married on Love Is Blind Season 2?
Deepti and Shake had a bit of a whirlwind romance both inside and outside of the Pods—at least from Deepti’s point of view. View this post on Instagram
A post shared by Love Is Blind (@loveisblindnetflix) Though Shake seemed absolutely smitten with Deepti upon first laying eyes on her—he even went as far as to tell his new fiancée during that first meeting, “I’m going to get you pregnant”—throughout the rest of the season, he continued to voice to others (though never Deepti) that he wasn’t immediately physically attracted to her. For a while there, it seemed to viewers like Deepti and Shake were in a good place and that Deepti had no clue that her groom-to-be wasn’t, as he put it, “animalistically” attracted to her, sexually. It seemed like, if the couple didn’t work out, it would likely be Shake who pulled the plug. But come the Love Is Blind wedding episode, Deepti expressed her own self-worth at the altar and surprised viewers everywhere when she vehemently said, “I don’t.” “I just don’t have room for anybody in my life that doesn’t see me in the best way. And who could even think those types of thoughts, I guess,” Deepti told Us Weekly. “I knew what I had to do. No one should have doubts about me [on our wedding day] and I deserve the best. So it’s, like, if you’re not gonna be able to offer it for me, then there’s no chance I’m staying.” Of course, a standout—albeit lame—moment of the wedding episode was Shake’s reaction to the rejection. Despite the fact that he was the one that kept saying he wasn’t physically or sexually attracted to his wife-to-be, Shake seemed absolutely butt-hurt when left at the altar. He even notably told the camera, “Thank God I didn’t have to say anything… I was the one that was more on the fence… If I would’ve said, ‘yes,’ she would’ve said, ‘yes.’ That’s why I feel amazing. We avoided all that! I was like, ‘Please be the one to reject me.’ Like, ‘I can handle it. I can take it.’ You know? It’ll be fine. Honestly, right now I’m excited to get back in the normal swing of things. I want to get back into my fitness routine and I have reservations at Nobu on Sunday so things are going to be good.” On the other side of things, Deepti’s mom stood up for her daughter when speaking to the camera post-almost-nuptials. “Today she stood up for herself and I’m so, so proud of her,” Deepti’s mother told the Love Is Blind cameras. “She’s not a girl who asks for a lot. She’s a person who cares for every single person no matter what and I think she deserves that connection and full commitment and a lot more from him. So, there’s nothing more to say. That’s my daughter.” Deepti added, “I don’t think he realizes what he just lost and a little time from now he’s going to realize he lost the best thing of his life. And when that day comes, I’ll be long gone. To me, that’s heartbreaking but I have to see my worth and move on. He doesn’t deserve me.”
Do Nick Thompson and Danielle Ruhl get married on Love Is Blind Season 2?
In what came as a shock to absolutely no one, Nick Thompson and Danielle Ruhl decided to stay together and ultimately, both said “I do” at the altar during the wedding episode. Throughout their time in-person together, jealousy and various communication issues reared their ugly heads a few times for this couple, but even still, most fans expected Nick and Danielle to get married. And that they did!
Which Love Is Blind Season 2 couples stayed together?
As anyone who watches reality TV knows, things don’t always pan out the way a series finale shows it to be. View this post on Instagram
A post shared by Love Is Blind (@loveisblindnetflix) However, as of right now, we have no intel that says any of the couples who chose to marry during the wedding episode are now separated or divorced. That being said, it’s also unclear if any of the couples who chose not to marry are still actually dating.
Are there any Love Is Blind Season 2 spoilers?
When it comes to spoilers about the Love Is Blind Season 2 finale, most fans may be shocked to learn that a surprising feud may have developed between two unlikely parties: Shake and Kyle. Thanks to post-finale Instagram insight, it appears that they may not necessarily get along in the reunion episode. In his own post, Shake wrote, “I’mma warn you. I KEEPS IT REAL AT THIS REUNION.” (Of course, thousands of fans flooded his comment section with hilarious-though-not-wrong comments about how he did not keep things real with his at-the-time fiancée.) Not long after, Kyle posted his own comment, writing, “Just me enjoying the train wreck.” Initially, it’s unclear if Kyle is referring to the entire reunion (or perhaps the entire experience?) as a “train wreck” or if he is specifically calling out Shake as the “train wreck.” But then again, Shake “kept it real” by then directly replying to Kyle’s comment—making it seem all the more likely that the two have a tenuous relationship post-filming. Shake wrote, “Translation: you’re a little bihh.” Guess we’ll find out soon!
