What happened in Season 5 of The Good Doctor?
Fans eagerly waited to see if Dr. Shaun Murphy and Lea would walk down the aisle after a major wrinkle during the Nov. 22 episode, when the couple fought over Lea manipulating Shaun’s patient satisfaction scores, which he said was unacceptable. In fact, he tells her point-blank, “I can’t marry you.” Now that Shaun called off the wedding, he’s forced to confront his fiancé about their relationship, what he means to her, as well as their future. This included a recent episode in which their busy schedules got in the way of their formerly active sex life. After much research—music, candles, chocolates, tender massage, and other advice – a simple belly laugh at bedtime put them in the proper mood. With rocky roads ahead for Dr. Murphy and Lea, the Feb. 28 episode was aptly called “Rebellion,” in which the doctors banded together to successfully oust the villainous Salen, and Dr. Andrews becomes the new hospital president, attempting to restore order and common sense to the hospital he loves.
