Kardashian, 40, reportedly requested joint legal and physical custody of the couple’s four children (North, 7,  Saint, 5, Chicago, 3 and Psalm, 1). The estranged pair are said to be amicable and determined to co-parent, and they are adhering to their prenuptial agreement. No separation date has yet been listed, but previous reports indicated that West, 43, and Kardashian had issues for months and were pretty much already living separately. PEOPLEreports that they’re approaching a settlement with minimal drama. A source told E!, “Kim was just tired of waiting. She tried to give it a chance. She wanted to do this last year. She gave it plenty of time but it’s just time to move on.” Adds the insider, “There were no affairs. No one did anything bad. They grew apart.” In January, sources told E! News of Kimye, “It’s gotten to the point where they haven’t spent time together as a married couple in months. They’ve seen each other for the sake of the kids but have been living separately. Kim knows the marriage is over. She’s known for a while.” Insiders also told PEOPLE at the time, “They are just not on the same page when it comes to their future as a family. And Kim is okay with it.” West suffered a severe bipolar episode during the summer, a source close to the couple told TMZ, during which he revealed at one of his presidential campaign rallies that he and Kardashian considered terminating her first pregnancy. The Yeezy founder also tweeted about “trying to get divorced” from the reality starlet. Insiders claimed that Kardashian knew the marriage was over and wanted out, but didn’t want to leave him when he was clearly unwell. At the time, Kardashian stood by her man, tweeting, “Anyone who has this or has a loved one in their life who does, knows how incredibly complicated and painful it is to understand." She added that West is a “brilliant but complicated person who on top of the pressures of being an artist and a black man, who experienced the painful loss of his mother, and has to deal with the pressure and isolation that is heightened by his bipolar disorder.” West and Kardashian began dating in 2012, shortly after her divorce from second husband Kris Humphries, and welcomed daughter North in 2013. That October, West proposed to Kardashian at San Francisco’s AT&T Park. The couple married in Florence, Italy, in 2014.
