According to the outlet, the Saturday Night Live star filed for divorce in the state of New York back in May. TMZ reported in April that the couple had been quietly separated for over a year. The couple shares two daughters, Georgia and Gianna, who they co-parented before making their split legal—and now it appears it’s just a matter of getting all the details in writing. Thompson and Evangeline agreed to joint custody of their daughters, each getting the girls in an even 50/50 split. The exes reportedly live close to each other in NYC to make co-parenting easier for everyone involved. The couple was together for nearly 15 years and tied the knot in 2011 at an aquarium in Atlanta. They welcomed their first baby girl, Georgia, into the family in 2014, and Gianna in 2018. The pair simply grew apart over the years and decided that making their split legal was the best thing to do.
