The actress took to her social media page to try out a new pumpkin carving hack, so you don’t have to! In the clip, the 13 Going on 30 star tries out the latest trend of using a hand mixer to carve out the pumpkin guts.“Trying the hand mixer hack,” read the text overlay on the video where Garner stood in her kitchen preparing to carve out the inside of the pumpkin. Donning a blue hat and plaid flannel, the actress got to work, putting the mixer inside the pumpkin to remove all of the goo that surrounds the pumpkin seeds. She then continued to scoop out all of the pumpkin seeds, noting that they were easy to remove and clean off.  “Spoiler alert: the hand mixer hack works! 🎃 Hi, @brunchwithbabs!” she wrote in the caption, tagging the creator of the hack.  Brunchwithbabs, who coined herself “the internet mom and grandma you didn’t know you needed,” originally posted the hack on her social media pages. “I’m going to remove all of those nasty strings the easier way. It literally cuts the job in half,” she said as she showed off the hack in an Instagram video that included plenty of other helpful tips when it comes to the family-friendly spooky season activity.  Another helpful suggestion? Carve the pumpkin from the bottom, allowing you to sit the pumpkin right on top of a candle instead of putting it inside the jack-o-lantern.She also noted that using heavy-duty cookie cutters helps when carving out your design. All you have to do is set the cookie cutter on the pumpkin and smash it in with a rubber mallet, and the shape should come out perfectly! Additionally, the internet mom noted that applying vaseline to the surface to keep the pumpkin moist after carving will help to preserve the jack-o-lantern. And the greatest tip of all—sprinkling some cinnamon on the inside of the pumpkin will give off a delicious pumpkin-spiced smell once a candle is lit inside. So, what are you waiting for? Start carving those pumpkins!  More News:
