The one-shoulder dress’ main feature was its thigh-high slit on Dewan’s left side. The actress kept the rest of the outfit simple and opted for earrings with similar shades of color complimented by a slicked-back wavy hairstyle. The special event honored Ava DuVernay, Oprah Winfrey, Chelsea and Hillary Clinton, Malala, and Elizabeth Olsen. Megan Stalter, who stars in Hacks, hosted the night, while Snoh Aalegra performed, as reported by Variety. The Nanny star Fran Drescher, who is also the president of SAG-AFTRA, said at the event, “It’s a great honor to be included with such an esteemed group of accomplished women, many of whom I’ve admired and looked up to for many years.” She continued, “It’s lovely, especially right now, to acknowledge women of strength and accomplishment and power and to remind everybody that we’re loud, we’re proud, and we’re equal.” Dewan joined many brilliant women at the event, including Diane Guerrero, Thora Birch, Kathryn Hahn, Sandra Oh, Quinta Brunson, Niecy Nash, and more. Dewan has been quite busy working for the past couple of years, with roles in The Rookie and Superman & Lois. In the latter, she reprised her role from Supergirl, bringing back the character of Lucy Lane. Next up, Dewan stars in the Lifetime movie Let’s Get Physical, which she also produced. The film is based on a true story. According to the official synopsis, the movie tells “the story of fitness instructor Sadie (Jenna Dewan) who by day, taught fitness and dance to soccer moms, but by night led a double life running a sophisticated prostitution ring with a customer list that included very prominent men in the community.” More Pop Culture:
