In a series of photos shared on Instagram, Smart showed off her new Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series–which she was awarded for a second year in recognition of her work on the HBO hit, Hacks. But the Emmy wasn’t like other Emmy awards; this one donned a black top hat—yes, like the kind Willy Wonka or Abraham Lincoln wore. Why a top hat? Well, it was a gift from Jimmy Kimmel. “My Emmy got herself a little top hat!!! Jimmy Kimmel you’re the coolest,” Smart wrote in the caption before tagging the late-night host. The carousel of images featured a cute selfie of Smart, a snap of her fancy Emmy award, and a close-up of the box the tiny top hat arrived in. Fellow Hacks co-star Hannah Einbinder gushed: “Everyone loves u :).” “the best dressed emmy 🔥,” joked the official HBO Max Instagram account. “AMAZING❤️,” exclaimed former Glee actress Dot-Marie Jones.
