But it was Laundrie’s mention that stirred up quite a reaction for the public. A little over a year ago, Laundrie, who was the subject of a national manhunt, confessed to killing his girlfriend, Gabby Petito, in a notebook before taking his own life. The couple was traveling across the country when Petito was found at a camping ground near the Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming on Sept. 19, 2021. Fans immediately called out the trivia game show for mentioning Laundrie, calling the question “distasteful” and “completely insensitive.““Not celebrity @jeopardy using Brian Laundrie as a clue for alligators.. that’s so distasteful and wrong could’ve used anything else for a clue,” one user wrote. One user also wrote: “Using the murder of a young woman and the suicide of the man who killed her as entertainment is revolting and unethical. Jeopardy needs to apologize and avoid ever making the same mistake again.” Another person also took to their Twitter page outraged, writing, “JEOPARDY JUST HAD THE MOST ABSURD QUESTION I HAVE EVER SEEN IN MY LIFE,” while yet another questioned, “What in the hell is wrong with you? Have you no soul? I can’t believe this question got past your lawyers.” Jeopardy! has yet to respond to the backlash they have received online. More News:
