Earlier today, the official TikTok account for one of New York City’s most iconic landmarks put out an open call for interns. In the video, two of the attraction’s current employees–who regularly go viral for their creativity, sense of humor, and love for both New York and Taylor Swift–Thomas (A.K.A “Bestie Number Two”) and Emma (“Bestie Number One”) introduced themselves and the requirements of the job, as well as its application process. “CALLING ALL BESTIES! It’s time to see if you have what it takes! Apply at the link in bio and use the hashtag #esrtintern,” the caption read. The two began by explaining that they are looking for “Bestie Number Three”—someone interested in working with the social media team to create content for the Empire State Building. The new hire would report to the social media, marketing, and PR team, and get the chance to work on projects that require both on and off-camera participation. The two TikTokers attest that the gig offers flexible hours in one of the most exciting cities in the world–and to make the offer even more enticing, the position is paid. If you or someone you know is interested in applying, Thomas and Emma revealed that part of the process is for you to create your own TikTok video detailing why you are the best choice for the position of Bestie Number Three. As Emma pointed out, this is a creative position, so make sure to show off your originality and inventiveness before filling out a formal application. The two directed any questions regarding the open position to the comments section–and let’s say people took full advantage of it. “would i get a hat,” one questioned, referring to the bestie’s matching uniforms, “Yes,” the viral TikTok account replied. “Wishing i lived in NY rn 😭,” another sobbed. Someone else joked, “Am I about to leave my entire life behind to fly out to NY to try to be bestie #3 ?” The obvious answer is yes! More News:
