The Duchess of Sussex looked stunning in a strapless monochrome jumpsuit by Gabriela Hearst that led Vogue to describe Meghan as having perfected “date night dressing.” The black jumpsuit with a white trim at the bodice retails for $4790. It’s been reported that Meghan and Harry were meeting friends at Locanda Verde, an Italian restaurant, in Manhattan. Earlier that day Meghan was photographed stepping out for lunch with legendary journalist and activist Gloria Steinhem, who Meghan hosted in the garden of her Montecito home for a “historic backyard chat” in August 2020. The pair were also interviewed in Vogue last month about the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade, which had previously enshrined the constitutional right to abortion. Meghan and Gloria were photographed leaving the Crosby Hotel in Soho, with the duchess kicking summer chic up a notch by pairing her navy tailored shorts by Dior with a white shirt and a tan suede belt by Ralph Lauren. The Sussexes’ outings in NYC followed Harry’s keynote speech yesterday at the UN General Assembly to mark Nelson Mandela International Day. In his address, he referred to Meghan as his “soulmate” in addition to speaking about the late South African president’s legacy.
