In the video, Chanel was seated in a deep sink while she fiddled with something on her tablet and her mom helped her get ready for Fashion Week. Shortly after Austin shared the video, it stirred up quite a bit of chatter online. Some TikTok users bashed the mother for her choices, while others thought it was a good idea since her daughter could easily fit inside the sink.  After Austin took note of some fans’ disapproval, she addressed the hate in a post shared on Twitter. Alongside an article from Page Six, she wrote, “Wow just Wow! Here we go again! Giving my lil girl a bath in the sink went Viral? SMH!” She continued: “People, you gotta know by now that I’m an unconventional mother. I do what works and is easier on me. Some may want to take some pointers rather than rag on me!”  This isn’t the first time the duo has received criticism for their parenting choices.  Back in September of last year, Austin received backlash for allowing her daughter to wear “mini tips” on her nails for school picture day. While some viewed it as a harmless act of self-expression, others believed the child was too young for that style manicure. The following month Ice-T appeared on The View and addressed the criticism, “Rule one on the internet: Do not pay attention to anything anyone says on the internet.“He continued: “Worry about the people that walk up to you and say things in your real life. Those are the people you should be concerned with. The internet is the world. It’s the world talking, so I don’t pay attention.”Ice-T eventually concluded that even though everyone has different ways of parenting, he assured fans that his daughter was most definitely loved.
