The most mature couple in Paradise confirmed their strong feelings and Michael pulled out a compass he’d had made a month before his wife, Laura, had died. Michael told Danielle that he thought the compass had brought him to her. Both got emotional and Michael said he would introduce Danielle to his son, James, when the time was right. “The future feels bright,” he said. “(Laura)’d be happy it was you. So am I.” The two agreed they weren’t yet ready to get engaged, but they left the show very much together.

Johnny also had profound insecurities, mumbling, “I’ve never felt worthy.” Victoria said she loved him and “could see myself marrying you.” But Johnny said engagement had to be his decision, and wondered aloud if a person would ever be ready. As the episode ended, they went into the fantasy suite with Victoria, worried about Johnny’s seeming lack of commitment, hoping to talk to him more. A preview for Tuesday night’s grand finale showed how all the BIP stars reunited to watch what would happen in front of a studio audience!
