In 2022, we will celebrate Easter on Sunday, April 17th, which of course means Good Friday will be April 15th. Lent begins Wednesday March 2nd (Ash Wednesday) and ends Thursday April 14th. Passover will begin the evening of Good Friday and end on Saturday April 23rd.
Best Easter Cookie Recipes
While Christmas might think it has the market cornered on being the official cookie holiday, there are so many spring and Easter-worthy cookies you can make this time of year. This collection is filled with cookie goodness your family won’t be able to get enough of! I think lemon is the mascot flavor of springtime, so the Lemon Crinkle Cookies, Lemon Drop Cookies and Meyer Lemon Greek Butter Cookies are a great way to add some bright flavor to your Easter menu. Kids love anything frosted, so the Easter Egg Sugar Cookies and and Lofthouse Cookies will get huge raves from the little ones. (Especially if they can help make them!) If you can find the Easter M&M’s—the pastel colored ones—they would be perfect for the No-Bake Monster Cookies and the M&M Cookies with those pretty colors! The Easter Blossom Cookies are so colorful they scream spring the second you lay eyes on them. Carrot Cake Cookies would be perfect to share with the Easter Bunny; and the Birds Nest Cookies are too cute and could easily double as your Easter table centerpiece too! This year when you plan your big Easter Sunday menu, keep in mind cookies are a great option for dessert in lieu of a cake or pie. Many times cookies can be made ahead, so less stress on the actual holiday, the kids can get involved, and they make a nice gift to share with friends and neighbors too!
