What is the difference between a Crock Pot and a slow cooker?

There is just a minor difference between the slow cooker and the Crock Pot. The pot of the slow cooker usually sits on a base that is the heating element on the bottom, while Crock Pots have their pots inside of a container (or a crock) and gets heating from all sides. Therefore, slow cookers heat up slower than Crock Pots, with the heat level being higher on the bottom of the pot.

Can I cook a frozen ham in the Crock Pot?

Depending on how many pounds your frozen ham, Crock Pot cooking times will vary. The best way to cook a frozen ham in the slow cooker is to let it defrost first, so it doesn’t take as long to heat up. A defrosted ham can cook for 4-6 hours on low, while a fully frozen ham may take up to 10 hours on low heat.  Here’s how long to cook a frozen ham per pound:

5-7 lb ham—between 4-6 hours, or until the internal temp reaches 140°F8-10 lb ham—between 6-8 hours or until the internal temp reaches 140°F

How to Reheat Leftover Ham

For me, one of the best parts about a holiday meal is enjoying the leftovers the next day! You can reheat the ham by covering it with foil and warming it in a 275-degree Fahrenheit oven.
