The easiest way to flatten out the dough is to use a cast iron tortilla press that can quickly turn a ball of dough into a thin flat circle. But if you don’t want to invest in a press, a simple rolling pin works too. Once the dough has been pressed, it’s pan-fried to brown each side of the tortilla. This typically takes about 2-3 minutes per side.

Store-Bought Low-Carb Tortillas

When it comes to store-bought keto tortillas, one thing to keep in mind is that most pre-made keto options for tortillas are not gluten-free. They typically contain whole wheat flour and wheat gluten. But there are a couple of exceptions such as coconut wraps, cheese wraps and thin cauliflower-based wraps. It’s always best to make your own tortillas because they are less expensive and can be made easily at home. However, store-bought ones are great for convenience if you don’t have the time to make your own.
